Respiratory Specialist

The Opportunity
Applications are invited for a permanent 1.0 FTE Specialist Respiratory. This position becomes available in April 2023. The successful appointee will preferably have a broad range of Respiratory experience and training, however newly qualified SMO are also encouraged to apply.
About our Service
The current team consists of 8 Respiratory Physicians, 11 RMO and Specialists. We service a 28 bed inpatient ward and full out patient service including Respiratory Laboratory and Sleep service. There is emphasis on ongoing development of services to meet the needs of our patients. A commitment to customer focus, service development and teamwork are essential.
About you
Required skills & experience you will need to be consider for this role:
• The possession of specific clinical skills with fellowship in Sleep Medicine is highly
desired. Applicants must be registered with the New Zealand Medical Council
(or have qualification that are immediately registerable) and have appropriate
postgraduate qualifications.
• The appointee will be involved in teaching, continuing medical education and
quality improvement. There is emphasis on ongoing development of services
to meet the needs of our patients. A commitment to customer focus, service
development and teamwork are essential.
