The States of Guernsey are seeking to appoint a Senior Theatre Practitioner (Band 6) to join the team at Hospital Services.
The post holder will provide skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of the operating theatre team, participate in the assessment of patient care needs, and implement and maintain agreed standards of care.
Senior Practitioners are expected to participate in elective and emergency operating sessions, deputise for Team Leaders/Coordinators during specialty sessions, coordinate the department, and cover for each other during absences. Weekends are worked approximately 1 in 3 or 4, with on-call duties once a week.
Job Description
This role offers a competitive salary, annual bonus, progressive annual leave, and entitlement to a pension scheme. Previous service in a substantive NHS post will be considered towards entitlement to annual leave, maternity leave, and sick pay.

Additionally, this role includes a £3,000 bonus, payable on the second and fourth anniversary of employment.
This role offers off-Island candidates an 8-year Long Term Employment Permit, allowing immediate family members to work on the Island in any sector. There are also good schools on the Island for those bringing their families.
Single subsidised accommodation is available for candidates relocating to the Island.
