Here is a rare and exciting opportunity for a Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon to join New Zealand’s premier children’s’ hospital

The Opportunity
We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon who wishes to work in a major children’s hospital with a level one trauma unit. Experience in acute and elective paediatric orthopaedics, including complex trauma management / delivery of care is essential for this role, along with a high standard of clinical practice and the ability to inspire others within the team.
As a senior member of the team you will be required to participate in the teaching and supervision of the RMO workforce and the on-call roster (1 in 10).
The department is actively involved in clinical research and audit including national and international collaborative projects offering exciting opportunities in this area
Important Skills
We welcome enquiries from experienced surgeons who have completed a recognised registrar / residency training programme in orthopaedics, with at least one year of post-graduation fellowship training in paediatric orthopaedics, including paediatric trauma.
Other requirements for the role include:
- Eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- Have completed a Specialty Fellowship training programme recognised by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons or equivalent.
- Experience in acute and elective paediatric orthopaedics.
