We have an outstanding opportunity to join New Zealand’s premier tertiary children’s hospital as a Paediatric Haematology/Oncology Consultant to join the Blood and Cancer Centre.

The Opportunity 

Auckland is the leading provider of child health care in Aotearoa (New Zealand) and the South Pacific, has an exciting opportunity for a permanent, full-time position to join as a Paediatric Haematology/Oncology Consultant in their Blood and Cancer Service. We are able to offer great relocation assistance and a great team environment for a smooth transitioning into this role.

The Blood and Cancer Centre provides assessment, diagnosis, treatment and long term follow up for children and young people with cancer and non-malignant haematological conditions. Our service also provides a comprehensive Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant service for New Zealand for a range of malignant and non-malignant conditions.

Important Skills

As the ideal candidate, you will have either been practising as a Paediatric Haematologist/Oncologist or completing training in Paediatric Haematology/Oncology at the time of application. We particularly welcome early career applicants.

You will also need to hold or be eligible for specialist (Vocational / Locum Tenens) registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand and have Fellowship from appropriate Medical College

Immigration NZ has introduced a new Accredited Employer Work Visa system from 4 July 2022. For some positions, this includes a clear pathway to residency.
