We are seeking a Consultant Emergency Medicine for a regional hospital in Broome, Western Australia.

The Role
The successful applicant will work alongside highly skilled emergency medicine Rural Generalists in the Broome Hospital Emergency Department (ED). The Broome Hospital ED is a busy regional department seeing around 30 000 presentations per year. The ED sees a broad case mix including a significant number of high acuity and trauma presentations as well as receiving inter-hospital transfers from smaller hospital sites across the Kimberley Region. This position offers Emergency Consultants the opportunity to develop and implement their unique scope of practice, in a rural emergency medicine setting.
You will have a significant role in teaching and training, with a remit for supervision of Interns, RMO’s and Registrars across the region.
Requirements
Applicants should be registered (or eligible for registration) as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and be a Fellow of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or equivalent as an overseas trained specialist who has completed their training in either the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA (ABEM certified) or New Zealand.
