The Opportunity
You will be part of a supportive and cohesive team, providing excellent clinical care to patients as well as contributing to the development of Psychiatric Services and mentoring of junior medical officers and registrars.
Currently seeking General Adult Psychiatrists in inpatient and community settings. Other opportunities may arise in Old Age Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Rehabilitation and Forensics following expansion. Leadership roles may also be available.
Requirements
Applicants should be registered (or eligible for registration) as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and be a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or equivalent as an overseas trained specialist who has completed their training in either the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA (ABPN certified) or New Zealand.
The Medical Board of Australia implemented a new expedited pathway to specialist registration in December 2024, eliminating the need for a specialist assessment with a specialist medical college for those with an accepted qualification in Psychiatry. The only accepted qualifications are MRCPsych and a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) after 2007. Now is the time to apply for a new role.
