We're seeking a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon (Upper Limb) to be based in Rockhampton, Central Queensland - a regional city which offers an ideal lifestyle and is the southern gateway to the Great Barrier Reef.

The Role
The role is to provide specialist upper limb services, elective and trauma, including shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. The successful candidate will work closely with the hand therapy service and physiotherapists. The position includes elective operating, general and specialist trauma operating, elective and fracture clinics, teaching of the AOA trainee and other junior doctors, contribution to audit, M&M and departmental research. There are also opportunities with University of Queensland for formal or informal roles teaching medical students who are on site.
Requirements
Applicants should be registered (or eligible for registration) as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and be a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) or equivalent as an overseas trained specialist who has completed their training in either the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA or New Zealand.
Candidates without FRACS will need 5 years consultant experience.
