They are looking for a
Locum Clinical Chemotherapy Pharmacist
for a 1 year fixed term contract starting 25.3.24

Gibraltar is an Island which enjoys a lovely sunny climate. Schools follow the UK National Curriculum and the standard of education is very high, with performance averages consistently better than the UK. The crime rate is very low.
The Gibraltar Health Service is not part of the UK NHS, although it is organised and run on very similar lines.
St. Bernard’s Hospital is the acute hospital, newly commissioned in February 2005, with about 170 in-patient beds, outpatient services, accident and emergency facilities, up to date diagnostic equipment and investigative facilities.
Main Duties
- To participate in the provision of a full pharmaceutical service to the Chemotherapy Day Unit by maintaining high quality, cost effective and efficient patient-centred clinical pharmacy services.
- To participate in the aseptic preparation of intravenous products including chemotherapy, ganciclovir, CIVAS, and intravitreal injections as and when required.
- To be responsible for the pharmaceutical provision for haematology and Oncology Services.
- To supervise and train pharmacy staff in the Chemotherapy Day Unit.
The role needs direct contact with the patient at the bedside, sometimes in difficult circumstances when the patient is confused or terminally ill suffering from a life limiting disease.
