When the weather here in the UK is cold and grey, our thoughts often turn to our friends in Australia, who are enjoying a lovely sunny summer - but it isn’t just warm weather that Australia has to offer!
In the OECD Better Life Index, Australia is in the top 20% for Jobs and Earnings, Personal Security, Housing, Health and Environmental Quality. The index highlights the ‘strong sense of community and high levels of civic participation in Australia’, and states that ‘in general, Australians are more satisfied with their lives than the OECD average.’
Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Sydney all regularly pop up in ‘world’s most liveable cities’ polls but Australia's smaller cities and towns have a lot to offer too! In fact, Suncorp Bank recently published a report on the top 10 family friendly cities in Australia taking into account aspects of each community, including; Schools, Mortgages, Health, Community Safety and Community Involvement and the results just might surprise you:
